I left university a little in denial about joining the real world and a lot confused about my career path of choice. The lab definitely wasn’t for me (amongst other reasons, it made me feel terrible for wearing [fake] fur), but I’d loved learning all about our beautiful minds – so I refused not to make some use of my Neuroscience degree, but really did want to do something more creative with it instead. Easy brief!
As a Production Editor at a science journal, I soon realised I was bored 99% of the time. Luckily by now, a couple of my friends were ‘In Advertising’ (whatever that actually meant) and banging on about how brilliant and exciting their jobs/social lives were, so I finally checked it out. And here I am, a different day every day as an Account Manager at Creature of London. I get to combine behavioural study, strategic and analytic thinking, and a keen eye for creativity – all on a Macbook Air. Dreamy.
