I came out of university not really knowing what I wanted to do as a career and, if I’m honest, fell into the advertising industry through a bit of luck. A friend who had graduated the year before had just got onto a grad scheme at a creative agency and wouldn’t stop going on about how good a time he was having. With his praises ringing in my ears I applied for a number of work experience programs and after just one week at a top agency, I was hooked.
I now work in Account Management which, in its simplest terms, means representing the interests of the clients within the agency and putting forward the agency’s creative recommendations back to the clients. I love the role as at its heart it is about problem solving, tackling clients’ business problems with creative answers.
