Often, Mathematics graduates are directed towards teaching and finance, but neither of these particularly appealed to me. I was primarily attracted to the advertising industry because it’s such a fast-paced and constantly evolving medium; it’s one of most sophisticated and dynamic sectors in the world.
The opportunity to apply the skills that I have learned during my Mathematics degree in an innovative and interesting context was invaluable, and skills like the ability to analyse statistics, recognise patterns and model data are instantly transferable to working as a data analyst in a media agency.
My goal is to ensure that I am constantly working at the forefront of change, and using the knowledge that I have gained from my degree to the greatest extent possible. At the moment, advertising looks like the future.
